FalconCNC — One Interface. More Freedom.

FalconCNC originally grew out of our need for a flexible operator-facing interface on custom machines, including systems where we were using LinuxCNC and building application-specific workflows around the machine.

For a long time, our Centroid integrations were necessarily more limited to the specific functions we needed for individual customer applications.

As Centroid has continued expanding its API, that has started to change.

We are now able to bring more of the functionality and flexibility we developed for our own custom interfaces into the Centroid ecosystem, while still allowing CNC12 and the Centroid motion-control platform to remain at the heart of the machine.

That expansion is what has made us start looking at FalconCNC as something that may have value beyond our own custom applications.

Our goal is to keep developing FalconCNC as an operator-focused interface that can adapt to different machines, workflows, and eventually different operating environments, while continuing to take advantage of the capabilities Centroid is making available through its API.

For us, this is less about replacing an existing CNC interface and more about adding another layer of flexibility for applications where a highly customized operator experience can make a real difference.

We’re still exploring where FalconCNC should go from here, and we’re interested in hearing what Centroid users would find useful.
